However, it is highly recommended that you transfer your domain to us because it is highly beneficial to have both your domain and your hosting from the same company. It makes the process of creating your website much easier and on top of that, you only have to deal with one account instead of multiple accounts from different places.
Prepare your domain for transfer out
You can transfer your domain from Google Domains:
- To another user within Google Domains
- To another user at a different registrar
- To your own account at a different registrar
Step 1: Select the domain you want to transfer
- Sign in to Google Domains.
- Click the name of the domain you want to transfer.
Step 2: Prepare your domain for transfer
- In the top left, click Menu
Registration settings.
- Under “Domain lock,” make sure your domain is unlocked.
- To the right of “Transfer out,” click Get authorization code.
- Select To a different domain registrar and click Continue, then sign in if necessary.
- Copy the authorization code and provide it to your new registrar.
Step 3: Authorize the transfer of your domain
You may have to re-enter and verify the contact information for your registration or verify existing information. This process may make a change to the registrant, administrative, or technical contact provided for the registration.
Step 4: Buy Hosting From Billion Hosting
- Go to BillionHosting.com – Choose Your Hosting package – Click add to cart.
- Choose option “transfer your domain from another registrar”
- Type in your domain name. Then click Transfer button.
- Click Continue button
- Continue to purchase your Hosting Package
- Enter EPP CODE – (Enter the Authorization Code You received from Google)
- Then continue the process and purchase hosting.
- Once completed you will receive a verification email from Google. You must click on the link to start the domain transfer process.
- Domain transfer can take any where from 4 to 8 days to complete.
